If you are considering applying for the Discover it® Cash Back and are a fan of Amazon, you might be able to earn a little extra cash. As a special promotion, Amazon is offering new Discover it Cash Back cardholders who apply through Amazon’s link a $75 statement credit after making their first Amazon purchase within three months of approval. This is in addition to the card’s standard introductory bonus, which matches the cash back earned at the end of the cardholder’s first year.

How to take advantage of the Discover Amazon offer

To qualify for the Amazon offer, you must apply for the Discover it Cash Back through Amazon’s apply link. Then, just make any Amazon purchase within the first three months of card ownership. Purchases can include digital downloads, a gift card, an item sold by a third-party merchant through Amazon’s marketplace and much more. Your statement credit should appear within two billing periods.

Before jumping at this offer, remember that you’ll have to meet the Discover it Cash Back application requirements. The card is designed for users with good to excellent credit (above 670), so you’ll want to ensure you are within that range before you apply.

Additionally, Discover is strict about the number of cards you can have open with the issuer at a time. If you already have two Discover cards open, it is likely you won’t be approved for the Discover it Cash Back. Plus, you’ll have to have any open account for at least one year before applying for a second Discover card.
