Hotel Credit Cards - Reviews
With high rewards rates, large sign-up bonuses and valuable perks such as free room upgrades and complimentary meals, hotel cards can be an appealing proposition for brand loyalists and frequent travelers alike.
We've rated and reviewed hotel cards from a variety of hotel chains, looking at the value of sign-up bonuses, rewards rates and perks, as well as the flexibility of redemption and the size and breadth of the hotel chain. We aim to help you find a hotel card that not only lets you rack up free hotel nights, but lets you redeem those free nights for times and locations that fit your travel needs.

Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature card
Last reviewed: February 13, 2019
One of our favorite travel cards, this premium hotel card was tailor made for fans of luxury hotel stays: for just $75 a year, it offers some of the generous rewards available on hotel stays and regular purchases as well as some the industry’s best bonuses.

Last reviewed: February 28, 2019
Though Marriott rewards points are a bit inflated, the new Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card is a good value, offering a generous intro bonus along with many other benefits.
Club Carlson Rewards Visa Signature card
Last reviewed: February 11, 2019
For cardholders who prefer to stay at mid-tier hotels such as Country Inn and Suites or the Radisson, the Club Carlson Rewards Visa Signature card offers a fair amount of value, including a sizable sign-up and an above average rewards rate on regular purchases.
Hilton Honors American Express Card
Last reviewed: April 18, 2019
The Hilton Honors card offers a generous number of bonus points on hotel and everyday purchases; but because Hilton’s Honors aren’t worth as much as the average credit card rewards point, cardholders need a larger number of points to purchase rewards-funded travel.
Best Western Rewards Premium Mastercard
Last reviewed: February 14, 2019
This premium hotel card offers a generous rewards rate on Best Western purchases and a tiered sign-up bonus that amply rewards moderate to heavy spenders; however, cardholders need to travel often to make up for the card’s $59 annual fee.

With a large sign-up bonus and other valuable rewards — including a free hotel night each year — the IHG Rewards Club Premier card is packed with value.
Best Western Rewards MasterCard
Last reviewed: February 14, 2019
The Best Western Rewards MasterCard offers frequent hotel guests a decent number of bonus points on hotel stays; but its modest sign-up bonus and skimpy rewards on non-hotel purchases limit its appeal.
Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card
Last reviewed: March 28, 2019
Aside from its gigantic introductory bonus, the main appeal of the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card is luxury hotel perks.
Wyndham Rewards Visa card
Last reviewed: February 12, 2019
The Wyndham Rewards Visa card offers an above average rewards rate on hotel and general purchases; but Wyndham points aren’t worth as much as the average card rewards point, so the hotel card’s rewards program isn’t as valuable as it seems.
