If you’re a Hyatt loyalist or simply on the market for a generous hotel rewards card, you’ll be happy to learn that Chase has unveiled an upgraded version of the World of Hyatt card. In addition to increasing the rewards rate and adding bonus earning categories, the card has launched a limited-time sign-up bonus offer: New card members can earn 40,000 points when they spend $3,000 in the first three months and an extra 20,000 points when they spend a total of $6,000 in the first six months.
While the 60,000-point bonus is only available to new card members, existing cardholders can receive a 2,000-point bonus after being approved for the new card.
Chase has not yet specified when these bonuses are scheduled to end.

As you can see, the annual fee has also increased by $20. But the larger sign-up bonus alone more than makes up for the difference in price.
The World of Hyatt card details
By offering a bonus rate on fitness club and gym memberships as well as local transit and commuting, the Hyatt card allows you to earn more rewards on purchases that match your lifestyle.
Other hotel perks include the following:
More free nights – Receive one free night each anniversary year at a category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort and one additional free night at a category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort after spending $15,000 in an anniversary year.
Higher membership status – Cardholders receive automatic Discoverist status, which includes premium internet, a bottle of water daily, preferred room upgrade upon availability, 2pm checkout upon request and more.
Qualifying nights – Get five qualifying night credit after every year and two qualifying night credits after every $5,000 spent on the card in order to achieve higher status faster.
No foreign transaction fees – You will not be charged additional fees for purchases made outside the U.S.
Should you apply now?
With the increased sign-up bonus – which is only available for a limited time – and elevated rewards rate, now is a great time to apply for the World of Hyatt card. Additionally, because the extra night is based on earning $15,000 in a calendar year, the earlier in the year you apply, the more time you have to earn the night.
If you are an existing Hyatt cardholder, you can upgrade to the new card at any time. But keep in mind that the 2,000-point bonus is only available for a limited time.
