Capital One announced on June 6, 2019 that it is launching a partnership with the James Beard Foundation – in order to extend new benefits to its customers. As part of the partnership, Capital One cardholders will enjoy new perks around dining and entertainment experiences through exclusive access and presale tickets.

“We’re excited to be a part of this groundbreaking partnership with the James Beard Foundation as we know our customers are passionate about unforgettable dining experiences. The James Beard Foundation is an impactful organization that we have always wanted to partner with,” said Lauren Liss, Vice President of U.S. Card at Capital One.

The new partnership will launch with the Taste America program, a series of culinary events around the country which kicks off July 24, 2019 in New York City. Capital One cardholders can purchase pre-sale tickets for the event beginning Friday, June 7 through this link. Additional presale access to Taste America events will be announced later this year.

In addition, cardholders will enjoy similar exclusive access to other James Beard Foundation programs – including James Beard House events and the James Beard Awards.

Capital One showing increased interest in dining and entertainment

This partnership seems to represent a renewed focus on food and entertainment for Capital One customers. When the bank revamped the Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards Credit Card last year, the earning rate was updated to reward dining and entertainment above all else. The card has been met with enthusiasm, and new benefits have been announced regularly since the relaunch. Most recently, the card added a limited-time promotion allowing users to earn 8 percent cash back on tickets purchased from Vivid Seats through May 31, 2020.

Other exclusive access for food and entertainment enthusiasts

Beyond the new James Beard Foundation partnership, Capital One is continuing to offer exclusive access to presale tickets for a wide variety of events. Highlights include early access to all New York City Wine & Food Festival events and presale tickets to the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Final thoughts

The Capital One and James Beard Foundation partnership marks the beginning of ramped up benefits for food and entertainment enthusiasts. You can keep an eye on other exclusive experiences coming up on the Capital One website.
