American Express and Amazon on Oct. 23 launched a new a small-business card that offers members the choice to earn extra percent back or limited-time no-interest payments on select purchases.
The Amazon Business American Express Card offers incentives based on your Amazon Prime membership status. For non-Prime members, it’s 3 percent back or 60-day interest free payment terms for the same purchases. (The card is also available at Amazon.com.)
All card members get 2 percent back on purchases at U.S. restaurants and gas stations, and on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers, and 1 percent back on all other eligible purchases.
The card also offers members access to line-item details on U.S. purchases made on Amazon Business, such as cost per item and quantity.
Upon sign-up, new members will also receive a $125 Amazon gift card if they have Amazon Prime; all others will receive a $100 Amazon gift card. Cardholders can use their rewards for purchases at Amazon.com and Amazon Business, or redeem them for a statement credit.
