Money Worries Interview with KGO Radio San Francisco

By Media Relations Senior Industry Analyst Matt Schulz spoke on Friday, June 26, 2015, with Jason Middleton of KGO Radio San Francisco about the results of the June 2015 Money Worries survey. The interview and transcript are below.

Jason Middleton: Misery really does love company, apparently. Almost two-thirds of Americans, 62%, are losing sleep over at least financial problem. Now this is according to a report out this morning from The most common money worries are saving enough for retirement, that’s number one; paying educational expenses, that’s number two; and healthcare and insurance bills, that’s number three.

Matt Schulz: Worries about education costs are growing like crazy, and at this rate paying for school could soon be America’s biggest financial worry.

Middleton: That’s Matt Schulz, he’s Senior Analyst at, and he’d rather light a candle than curse the darkness.

Schulz: People tend to lose sleep when things feel out of their control, and the best way to take more control is to do something. Even if it’s a small thing – cut back on some expenses, make a budget.
