Fee Roundup Survey Interview with WSYR Radio Syracuse
CreditCards.com Senior Industry Analyst Matt Schulz spoke on Friday, July 17, 2015, with Jim Donovan of WSYR Radio Syracuse about the July 2015 Fee Roundup survey. The interview and transcript are below.
Jim Donovan: All credit cards are not created equal. According to Matt Schulz with CreditCards.com, the average credit card assess about six different fees, but some cards have many more.
Matt Schulz: But we found two cards from First Premier Bank that charge a whopping 12 potential fees so that’s obviously a lot.
Donovan: Schulz says credit cards charge two kinds of fees: penalty fees for things like late payments, which you can avoid; and transactional fees like annual fees, which users are usually stuck paying.
