Most-common restrictions
Here are the most-common extra demands placed on debit card renters, and the number of times they were demanded. Some agencies impose more than one additional requirement.

  • 24: Hold of additional funds.
  • 10: Credit check.
  • 8: Full-coverage car insurance.
  • 7: Copy of return airline ticket or e-ticket itinerary.
  • 6: Debit connected to a major credit card brand, such as Visa or MasterCard.
  • 6: Age restriction.
  • 5: Show utility bill.
  • 4: Show proof of employment/income.
  • 4: Address on driver’s license or passport must match pay stub or utility bill
  • 1: Can’t leave the state.
