Prepaid Visa RushCard provides holds down fees
Prepaid debit cards are a great financial tool for those consumers who cannot get a regular credit card. And while some prepaid debit cards offset their easy availability with a bundle of fees, the Prepaid Visa RushCard and Baby Phat Prepaid Visa RushCard from Russell Simmons keep fees low and clear-cut.
To start, each Prepaid Visa RushCard charges a one-time activation fee of $19.95, which is automatically deducted the first time you load money onto your Prepaid Visa RushCard or Baby Phat Prepaid Visa RushCard.
There are a variety of ways to add money to your Visa RushCard, such as using payroll direct deposit, at MoneyGram locations worldwide, by mailing in a check or money order, through the Refer-A-Friend program and from your tax refund or government benefits. Adding money to your RushCard via payroll direct deposit, MoneyGram, check or money order and tax refund are all free, although MoneyGram does charge a fee of $3.95 for this service.
Each time you use your Prepaid Visa RushCard or Baby Phat Prepaid Visa RushCard, you will be charged a convenience fee of $1. After you have paid $10 in convenience fees each month, all further purchases are free.
Meanwhile, keeping tabs on your Prepaid Visa RushCard or Baby Phat Prepaid Visa RushCard is also free. You can manage your RushCard for free, checking activity status and your RushCard's balance online or by phone. Furthermore, you will not be charged for 24/7 customer service, meaning you can get your questions answered by phone for free.
If you decide to get cash from an ATM in the U.S. or abroad, you can use your RushCard to do that, too. Domestic ATM withdrawals charge a fee of $1.95, while international ATM withdrawals charge a fee of $3.50.
There are a few other limited fees associated with the Prepaid Visa RushCard and Baby Phat Prepaid Visa RushCard. If you do not load money onto your RushCard, or use it for purchases or ATM withdrawals within 60 days, you will be charged am inactivity fee of $2.95.
Separately, for the convenience of paying bills with your RushCard, you are charged a one time enrollment fee of $2, then a bill payment fee of $1.
Finally, if you decide to get a refund of the money on your RushCard, a fee of $5 is charged for sending a check.
With all the features and benefits of the Prepaid Visa RushCard and Baby Phat Prepaid Visa RushCard, these limited fees are quickly offset by the time and money you will save by no longer having to pay costly check cashing fees or stand in long lines to make purchases and pay bills.
