Mastercard exclusive benefits

Mastercard announced that it will begin offering exclusive dining privileges for Platinum, World and World Elite cardholders in Asia Pacific. By paying with a Mastercard, affluent customers — individuals earning $100,000 or more per year – will have access to exclusive culinary experiences, including curated seasonal menus, complimentary bottles of wine and children’s dining privileges. These new benefits come as part of a larger refresh of Mastercard’s Affluent program.

“A cornerstone of Asian culture, mealtimes are when many form business partnerships or bond with their loved ones,” Jenn Ong, head of consumer credit in Asia Pacific for Mastercard, explained in a press release.  “With this knowledge in mind, we are excited to announce our new suite of Affluent dining privileges, as we deepen our commitment to creating priceless moments for them.”

Mastercard notes that Affluent consumers in Asia Pacific possess greater spending power than that of previous generations, and devote a significant amount of their income to dining out. Ong states, “Mastercard’s research on consumer dining habits indicate that Asia Pacific consumers’ appetite for dining out remains strong despite an uncertain economic outlook and revealed that they are increasingly seeking fine dining experiences.”

Dining benefits for Mastercard Platinum, World and World Elite cardholders will include the following:

  • Mastercard Epicurean Experiences: Priority reservations and exclusively crafted menus at 20 top restaurants around the globe.
  • Kids Dining Perks: Complimentary dining at 26 participating restaurants in Asia and Australasia for each child age 12 or younger, when dining with a paying adult.
  • Mastercard Wine Privileges: A complimentary bottle of wine, with minimum spend, when dining at more than 100 participating restaurants in China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

One should note that dining benefits may vary across issuers and cards.
