A 341 meeting is a mandatory, fact-finding meeting that takes place early on in Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases between the person filing and creditors. During the meeting, the person filing must answer questions under oath about assets and liabilities, and answer questions meant to reveal present financial condition, such as “Is your car insured?” and “Have you cut up your credit cards?”
