Why use it?
If you are a business owner who wants a simplified approach to earning rewards, the Discover it Business card is ideal, thanks to its flat-rate rewards structure. Additionally, you will not incur an annual fee for using the card.

We estimate that the average business owner who spends $4,000 each month on office supplies, company travel and other business expenses, can earn more than $700 in cash back from the Discover it Business card each year.

Since Discover matches the cash back earned at the end of the first year, that same person can get more than $1,400 in cash back for the first year of card membership. That’s a pretty good deal for a card that doesn’t charge an annual fee.

Is the Discover it Business card worth it?

Overall, the Discover it Business card is a great option for business owners who want a straightforward approach to earning rewards. Because cardholders earn unlimited 1.5 percent cash back on everything they buy, there’s no need to keep up with rotating bonus categories, spending caps or complicated rewards structures.

Still – if you want to get even more value from a flat-rate, business card, there are other options. For example, the Ink Business Unlimited Credit Card offers 1.5 percent cash back on every purchase, a $500 sign-up bonus (after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening) and does not charge an annual fee.

The advantage of the Ink Business Unlimited card is that you can transfer your earnings from the Unlimited card to certain premium Chase cards, such as the Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, and redeem them for airfare with a 25-percent redemption bonus, boosting the value of your rewards to 1.25 cents per point. So if you want to squeeze more rewards value out of every dollar that you spend, Chase business cards are a good alternative.
