Citi has launched a no-fee card that rewards cardholders for every purchase. The new Citi Rewards+SM Card offers a variety of ways to accelerate your earning potential, including:
Bonus rewards on everyday purchases
Cardholders earn 2 points per dollar at supermarkets and gas stations for the first $6,000 in purchases each year, and 1 point per dollar after that. All other purchases garner 1 point per dollar.
15,000-point sign-up bonus
New cardholders receive 15,000 bonus points when they spend $1,000 in the first three months of card membership, which are redeemable for $150 in gift cards, according to Citi.
Round up your ThankYou points
The Citi Rewards+ card offers a unique feature that rounds up the points you earn from each purchase to the nearest 10 points. For example, the points you earn from a $5 fast food meal will be rounded up to 10 points, and a $12 Uber ride will be rounded up to 20 points.
10 percent points back
Cardholders receive 10 percent of their points back for the first 100,000 points they redeem each year. Meaning, if you redeem 35,000 points in a year, you will receive 350 points back.
Chris Fred, head of proprietary products for Citi Cards, explained, “We’re excited to introduce a new card that truly turns everyday purchases into something bigger.”
A worthwhile offer?
Ultimately, we think the Citi Rewards+ card is a good offer – especially for cardholders looking to maximize their rewards earnings on everyday spending.
The card gives Citi members additional categories in which to earn ThankYou points, and the round-up and 10-percent bonus features offer appealing opportunities to strategize and earn additional points.
Plus, since the new card doesn’t include an annual fee, you can test it out at no charge.
