Bankruptcies per capita, all 50 states, 2007-2009
Bankruptcies continue to climb in 2009. Nevada jumped Tennessee to become the leader in per capita bankruptcy for 2009. Western states, such as California, Utah and Arizona saw decreases, while Midwestern and Southern states such as Nebraska and Mississippi saw increases.
