By Media Relations

CreditCards.com Senior Industry Analyst Matt Schulz spoke on Monday, November 2, 2015 with Jim Taylor of CBS Radio about the November 2015 Coupons & Credit Cards survey. The interview and transcript are below.

TRANSCRIPT

Jim Taylor: Times have changed, but Americans still prefer the coupons their grandparents used. A report finds that two-thirds of credit card users favor the old fashioned paper coupons, not those online promotions.

Matt Schulz: Americans are creatures of habit and these are things that have been going on for a long time and it’s just hard to break yourself of that habit.

Taylor: Matt Schulz, CreditCards.com Senior Analyst.

Schulz: Paper coupon usage decreases with income and increases with age.

Taylor: And yet, even the 18-24 age group, he says, still chooses paper over any other form of couponing.

Consumer: Getting stuff for free – it’s just what I do.

Taylor: Jim Taylor, CBS News.
