Dan Ray

Daniel P. Ray, CreditCard.com's editor in chief, has nearly a decade's experience writing and editing consumer-oriented stories about personal finance, especially debt-related issues. Before joining CreditCards.com in July, 2007, he was an editor at Bankrate.com, including six years as editor in chief. During his tenure there, he won three "Best in Business" awards from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW).

Ray's career also includes 10 years in various reporting and editing roles at the Miami Herald, and five years as an editor for the music magazine, Country Weekly.

Todd Ossenfort

As well as being a CreditCards.com reader expert, Todd Ossenfort is the chief operating officer for Pioneer Credit Counseling in Rapid City, S.D. Pioneer Credit Counseling has been a member of the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies since 1997. Todd was elected as a vice president of the association in 1999 and served in that capacity until June of 2003, when he was elected for a three-year term as trustee. Todd was re-elected to serve another three-year term in June 2006.

He has been a strong advocate for the credit counseling industry and is a member of the AICCCA compliance committee.

Before becoming involved in the credit counseling industry, Todd was the division manager for a large wholesale automotive company that operates in seven states. Todd is very active in his local community and was elected in 1997 to serve two terms as a Ward 2 city councilman for Rapid City.

Todd lives in Rapid City with his wife, Laca, and their three children, Danielle, Jacob and Sidney. Most of their spare time is spent being involved with their children's extracurricular activities, which they enjoy very much.
