Married women find financial responsibility attractive

By  and

Married women consider financial responsibility sexier than men do, an Experian poll finds.

In an online survey of married Americans, 93 percent of the women said financial responsibility makes their partner more attractive. That compared to 84 percent of the men.

And fiscal sexiness appealed to women more across the board. While only three-fifths of men said openness about personal finances and credit scores made their spouse more attractive, almost three-fourths of women said the same. And more than nine-tenths of women said their partner turned them on because they paid bills on time. Some 80 percent of men said the same.

The poll was conducted from April 16-19, 2014 by Edelman Berland for Experian, with 1,010 married adults surveyed. The margin of error was 3.1 percent.
