Infographic: Bill pay goes mobile
By Juan Rodriguez and Kristin McGrath
More consumers are using their
mobile phones to pay their bills, a
study from financial services technology company Fiserv has found. In fact,
paying bills is the top reason smartphone users visited their billers' mobile
websites.
Mobile bill pay has been
experiencing rapid growth. In 2011, 6 million online consumers paid a bill with
a mobile phone. This year, that number jumped to 8 million. The top reason for
converting to mobile? Half of those surveyed said it saves them time.
